As Akane and Ranma wonder who this girl is who attacked them, Ukyo appears and instantly recognises Tsubasa and makes Ranma help her stuff Tsubasa into a Garbage Can before Ukyo sends the Can flying with her Giant Spatula.
Later on at Okonomiyaki Ucchan's , after Ukyo has explained her history with Tsubasa, Tsubasa reappears and turns her attention to Ranma.
Tsubasa begins insulting Ranma, but Ranma retorts by noting that Ukyo's the one who loves her, so she must be less ugly than her.
This upsets Tsubasa greatly, who rushes out the restaurant, only to return disguised as a Vending Machine and attempt to charge into Ranma.
However, Tsubasa only achieves to infuriate Ukyo for destroying her restaurant. Unfortunately, this doesn't have the desired effect as Tsubasa claims to have already known this and declares that she only likes girls, she then rushes out of the restaurant, but not before getting one last insult in for Ranma.
The next day, Tsubasa heads to Furinkan High School , where she sets up a challenge with Ranma to see who's cuter by seeing who can sell the most Okonomiyaki during the school Lunch hour.
Ranma is initially confident, but soon her confidence soon falls through as all the students at Furinkan High apart from Tatewaki Kuno know her secret, so Tsubasa appears to be the outright victor and prematurely leaves.
Through disguising herself, Ranma is able to sell all but one Okonomiyaki before Akane puts a stop to her antics. Tsubasa now disguised as a tree reappears and declares herself the winner, but Ukyo arrives and states that she wants to buy the last Okonomiyaki from Ranma.
Devastated that his love would betray him like this, Tsubasa leaves in a flood of tears, making Ranma feel sorry for Tsubasa.
Tsubasa, however, refuses to do so. A letter then arrive via an arrow which states that Ranma wants to go on a date with Tsubasa next Sunday in the Park.
On the appointed day, Tsubasa is disappointed to see that it's the male Ranma who she's dating Ranma came up with the plan to steer Tsubasa onto the "correct path", as he believes her to be lesbian.
After several attempts made Tsubasa to leave, she ends up beating up Ranma and throwing him into the fountain, but Tsubasa is shocked when she sees the female Ranma so hurt and decides to carry her so as to get help.
As Tsubasa carries Ranma, Ranma says she wants one last hot bath, a request which Tsubasa is more than happy to grant.
Tsubasa quickly arrives at the Tendo Dojo and throws Ranma into the hot bath. Ranma remerges in his male form and asks Tsubasa if she's getting the idea yet, but Tsubasa declares that Akane is her only true love.
This prompts Ranma to grab onto Tsubasa, but Ranma gets punched into the wall by Tsubasa. Because of this, Tsubasa's clothes rip off, revealing he has no breasts infuriating Ranma at the revelation about him trying to look cuter than "another guy.
Downstairs, Ukyo reveals to Akane she attended an all-boys school and had assumed since nobody asked they all knew. Akane thinks Tsubasa is a cross dresser, but Tsubasa states he just "likes to dress up.
Prior to the events of the series, Tsubasa attended an all-boys school which was also attended by Ukyo at the time who dressed and lived as a boy.
Even after Ukyo left to find Ranma , Tsubasa still sent mountains of love letters to Ukyo, prompting Ukyo to send Tsubasa a letter explaining about her engagement along with a picture of Ranma's female form, thinking that if Tsubasa thinks she is male it wouldn't make sense for her to send a picture of the male Ranma.
After Ranma receives a letter from a person named Tsubasa Kurenai she is attacked by a mailbox. After Ranma kicks the mailbox into a lamppost a girl comes out of of it.
She then begins to walk slowly towards Ranma only to fall to the ground. Ranma and Akane then look to see who it is, but neither of them recognise the girl.
Ukyo then walks up to them and is shocked to see the girl, she then tells Ranma and Akane her name is Tsubasa Kurenai.
Ukyo and Ranma quickly put Tsubasa into a nearby garbage can and Ukyo sends Tsubasa it flying with her giant spatula. Later that day at Okonomiyaki Ucchan's , after Ukyo explains her history with Tsubasa, she Tsubasa appears still in the garbage can she was thrown in and says that after she got rejected she decided the only way to get Ukyo's heart was to send Ukyo multiple letters "until the skies were filled with pretty pink envelopes".
Tsubasa then comes out of her trashcan and insults Ranma by calling her "butt ugly", which causes Ranma to jump into Ukyo's arms and say that she doesn't seem to agree.
As she questions her almost death and Kanade's motivation, Kanade's spirit embraces her from behind. At first shocked, Tsubasa smiles and tells Kanade about her training and fights, having come to realize that her life had no meaning or value.
They are then seen sitting on the ground of the destroyed stadium from 2 years ago. As Kanade speaks and tells Tsubasa that there is something that she had to find out on her own, Tsubasa pouts slightly and comments that Kanade is always teasing her.
She then expresses her wish to have Kanade at her side again. Having realised that she gets to decide if Kanade is near or far, Tsubasa sinks and begins to wake.
She is currently still in the hospital and is surrounded by nurses and a doctor. She makes observations about the world around her and thinks about how she won't have perfect attendance.
Thinking about Kanade again, Tsubasa sheds a tear. She realizes that having Shinji, a male, do these things for her seems rather odd and comments that Hibiki is doing a good job taking her place.
As they speak, Tsubasa wants to know the reason for which Hibiki fights, who responds with that she doesn't know why.
On the rooftop Tsubasa questions Hibiki on if she was ready to become a warrior, and tells Hibiki of her armed gear. Tsubasa appears in Episode 7 to protect Hibiki from Chris' barrage of attacks, using Heaven's Wrath gigantic sword, and states that she needs Hibiki's help.
Tsubasa begins to fight Chris and gains the upper hand and thinks of the chance to fight Chris as a way of making up for losing the second Relic ten years ago.
Later on, she is riding the elevator to the headquarters as she thinks about Kanade, believing that she finally understood her reason.
She apologizes to Genjuro for her earlier actions. Tsubasa tries to cheer Hibiki up in Episode 8 before admitting that Kanade was better at things like that than her.
She also admits to Hibiki that when she thinks about it, she got off lightly after using her superb song as it is a song of destruction.
When the Noise attack, Tsubasa is unable to go and fight as Genjuro forbids her to until the doctors give her the all-clear.
Tsubasa is fixing up a motorcycle and humming in Episode 9 and Kanade surprises her. Tsubasa is then exiting a scanning machine for her check-up and is informed that her injuries are all healed.
She meets Miku as Hibiki is showing her around the base and tells Miku to take care of Hibiki even if she is a pain.
She also informs them that Genjuro had pulled some strings to get Miku into the second branch. Tsubasa admits to being surprised that Ryoko had time to search for love as she was too busy.
After the song, Tsubasa announces that she wanted to sing overseas to help people with her songs. Tsubasa managed to calm a berserk Hibiki down and attempted to destroy the Kadingir with a kamikaze attack, Soaring Phoenix.
Ver later unleashes the monster Nephilim, and Tsubasa witnesses how it tore off Hibiki's arm, and Hibiki suddenly regenerating her arm and slaughtering the monster.
After further investigation, Tsubasa was shocked that the Gungnir inside Hibiki is expanding, about to replace her and turning her into something inhuman.
Out of worry, Tsubasa once again starts acting cold and dismissive to Hibiki, forbidding her to fight and becomes angry when Hibiki is taking it 'too lightly'.
As Tsubasa fights off Maria's allies, while Hibiki fights Miku, she eventually witnesses the rise of the Frontier.
However, Tsubasa survives the ordeal, having "missed the vitals". She takes on Chris at the gates of the Frontier, and eventually finds out that Chris is just sneaking into the group to snatch Solomon's Cane from Ver, but was put on an explosive leash as a result.
Using their synchronisation, Tsubasa manages to destroy the leash and helps Chris get close to Ver and drive him away to take back the Solomon's Cane.
Tsubasa reappears alongside Hibiki and Chris in outer space in order to prevent the rocket ship carrying Professor Nastassja 's body from crash landing onto Earth.
This version of Tsubasa seems to be much more aggressive and tomboyish, similar to the main version of Chris.
Tsubasa is the owner of the first Relic , Ame no Habakiri. She has the ability to fight Noise with the use of the anti-Noise armour, the Symphogear , which clads her in battle.
As a candidate for the Symphogear, she can activate her relics with her song and use an Armed Gear in battle.
Tsubasa's Armed Gear is, while in its normal form, a katana; however it is shown that the form her Armed Geared may change depending on the attack used.
Tsubasa's gear is also unique due to the fact that Ame no Habakiri is the only gear shown to have blades attached to her ankles. Tsubasa, having trained since she was a child, is both agile and strong, with a wide array of sword techniques that emphasise rapid, flowing attacks.
She is the longest active Symphogear user, making her the most experienced, as shown since her Relic has gone through the most development and change.
In the G season, Tsubasa shows that she is able to enter in her previous Symphogear's form , requiring a lesser level of phonic gain. This attack can also be used while Tsubasa has her armed gear in hand.
The sword is sufficiently large and thick that it can be used as a shield. By the time Symphogear G comes around, Tsubasa is able to perform this attack many times in rapid succession.
It's powered up even more when the moon is out. It is useful for targeting large numbers of opponents and can be used even if Tsubasa is immobilized.
This attack is actually a ninja technique learned from Ogawa Shinji , who can use it as well.
At the peak of the attack, the flames turn from red to blue and engulf Tsubasa in the image of a phoenix which rams through the target.
Because Tsubasa is well synchronized with her Symphogear, she does not risk death or destruction of her relic the way Kanade does, but use of the Superb Song will still leave her bedridden for quite some time.
The energy created, which destroys most of the Noise, is then taken upon by Hibiki with a great effort of her part, in which she combines the Gears of her arms together to form a new one on her right arm.
Once the energy is fully concentrated in it, she jumps towards the main body of the Noise using the Gear of her waist as rocket, and punches it while her Gear spins furiously to make the final thrust, creating a rainbow light tornado destroying the Noise completely and rising high in the sky.
Most of the power in this attack was from Hibiki, but Tsubasa, Chris and Hibiki's friends helped keep Hibiki grounded to her real self as they contributed to the attack.
Wielding Ame no Habakiri as a pair of long-swords, Tsubasa joins the swords at the hilts and spins them rapidly, producing fire around the blades as part of a rushing attack.
Tsubasa again played as a Captain Tsubasa: Ayaushi! Zen Nippon Jr. Since Boys' Fight arc, Tsubasa changed his position due to Roberto 's book annotations, where he advised Tsubasa to play as an attacking midfielder in order to become the gamemaker of the team.
With this position change, he can both give defensive instructions as well as build the offensive and beat any formidable opponent who also aims to control the mid-area of the field.
Captain Tsubasa manga. Kids' Dream arc Prior to Captain Tsubasa series, a one-year-old Tsubasa had been miraculously saved by his soccer ball in a truck accident when he was barely able to walk.
Tsubasa had held the ball in front of him which served as a cushion for the impact. The force of the bump blew him away, but he was able to right himself over again with the ball.
Since then, he has considered the ball his "best friend", hence his motto "the ball is my friend! Years later, a year-old Tsubasa entered elementary school in Nankatsu City, to Nankatsu elementary school , a school with a soccer club, after barely having any real friends before since his prior school did not have a football club.
Immediately upon arrival, he set out to explore the new city, and arrived at the local football field, where Ryo Ishizaki and Genzo Wakabayashi were quarreling about the right to use the field.
Impressed with Shutetsu's genius keeper, Tsubasa resolved to challenge him to a duel. After a short confrontation on the street where Tsubasa repelled Wakabayashi's shot by making the ball go under the bus and into the keeper's arms, then the duel started.
Tsubasa dribbled past the whole Shutetsu B and made a header to Wakabayashi , which was punched and then Roberto Hongo , a former member of Brazil national team , made an inswinging cross, so Tsubasa did a diving header and finally scored into the goal net.
Nankatsu SC vs Meiwa. Joining Nankatsu school's football club, Tsubasa first had a welcoming match, which is the reverse of the B-team game.
He starts on defense by himself against the rest of the Nankatsu team. The team must stop Tsubasa from scoring for 5 minutes, and he cannot shoot from distance.
Hours before the football match against Shutetsu, he won the m race while dribbling the football. Taro Misaki with whom he formed such a perfect combination that the two of them was called the " Golden Combi ", and chief supporter Sanae Nakazawa who soon developed a crush on him.
Chosen for the city's team in the national championship, Tsubasa and his friends face strong rivals such as Kojiro Hyuga , who will remain one of Tsubasa's strongest rivals in Japan, Ken Wakashimazu , Jun Misugi and Hikaru Matsuyama.
Tsubasa eventually won against them to become the junior national tournament's champion, however he could not go to Brazil with Roberto , as the latter secretly left alone, not before leaving a book with his special notes in order to teach him how to polish his techniques in order to aim to become a pro soccer player.
He was scouted to play for Toho Academy as a playmaker, but he declined. Boys' Fight arc Two years later, Tsubasa, along with his old companions, already won the national middle school tournament twice.
He was seeking to get a third consecutive championship V3 in the next tournament. However, many of his old rivals were on his way to the title this time, especially Kojiro Hyuga, who was eager to win after two defeats against Tsubasa.
